PARISH HILL SUMMER 2021 SCHOOL CREDIT RECOVERY PROGRAM

Credit recovery allows students to earn credit for required courses that they have already taken but have not earned a passing grade during the 2020-2021 school year or previous school years. The Parish Hill Credit Recovery Summer School will consist of an on-line learning platform, but will be held in-person at Parish Hill. Transportation is provided this year and there is no cost to students. Our Summer School Coordinator will oversee all aspects of this credit recovery program and will provide continual assistance and support to enrollees. We are deeply committed to giving students opportunities to “stay on track” for graduation through this program.
Admission Requirements This program is for all high school students in Grades 9-12 during the 2020-2021 school year who have failed an academic course. To qualify for this program, a student must have had at least a final grade average of “40” Any exceptions can only be made with the consent of the school Principal.

Class Schedule: All courses will run Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon Length of Summer Session: Tuesday, July 6, 2021 to Friday, July 30, 2021
Attendance: Students are expected to attend summer school for nineteen (19) days. Students will only be allowed one absence for the entire session. Three tardies will equal one (1) absence. A tardy is defined as being more than fifteen minutes late to class. Any attendance appeals will be directed to the school principal. A student must complete a minimum of 60 hours of instruction for a full year course and 30 hours of instruction for a half year course. If a student does not accumulate the required hours of instruction, credit will be denied.
Earned Credit: Students will earn full or half year credit if they successfully pass the course. Summer School grades will not be calculated as part of a student’s grade point average.
Code of Conduct: The Parish Hill Code of Conduct and all school rules will apply at all times during the summer school session. Fighting, possession of weapons, and possession of/use/sale of drugs will result in immediate dismissal from the program and possible police involvement.
Registration: Tuesday, June 15, 2021 through Monday, June 21, 2021. Please bring (or email) your Registration Form to Mr. Flegert firstname.lastname@example.org in the Student Services office, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to notify the school of your intent for your child to participate in Parish Hill’s Summer Credit Recovery.
