Hello all!

Unfortunately this year I have many obligations outside of Parish Hill and will be working as the math interventionist instead of the 8th grade math teacher. I will be available to help you out though, and if you need anything don’t hesitate to ask. Have a great school year!

8th Grade Math 

Introduction: This course includes units of the following topics: number patterns, equations, integers, decimals, exponents, metric system, fractions, graphing, geometry, measurement, proportions, percent, probability and statistics. Emphasis is placed on problem solving and written justifications through class work, projects and interdisciplinary units. This course will develop skills students will need for Math in the ninth grade.

**********8th Grade Summer Work: 2021-2022**************

Incoming 8th grade students will need to complete 5 Teacher Assigned Lessons AND 5 My Path Lessons on iReady before August. Students who do not have access to a computer at home could use library computers, or complete a booklet that is available for pick up at Parish Hill.

Students who anticipate entering Algebra 1 in 8th Grade should make sure to check Mrs Griffin’s Google Classroom for other assignments.

7th Grade Math 

 Introduction: Math 7 includes units on the following topics; rounding, multiplication and division with large numbers, decimals, fractions, percent, ratio, proportion, area, perimeter, volume and simple algebraic equations. Variables will be used in a multitude of contexts. Problem solving will be used where appropriate in these concepts. An emphasis will be placed on written explanations for various assignments.

*********SUMMER WORK 2021:Summer work 7th 2021 ************

Students may complete this assignment using Kami on their computers, or print it out and complete the hard copy. If you do not have a printer, you may pick up a copy at Parish Hill Middle High School. Once a student has it finished they can email me their completed work at or hand in the hard copy on the first day of school.
