Grading Policy
PARISH HILL HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT Parish Hill High School fosters academic and personal excellence, develops the ideals of respect, integrity and fairness, and embraces community participation within a safe school environment. *Civic/Social Expectation #7: Parish Hill students/graduates will demonstrate an understanding of the life-long value of personal physical fitness and good health.* Mr. Brad Caron bcaron@parishhill.org 455-9584 ext. 140 Mrs. Jenny Lussier jlussier@parishhill.org 455-9584 ext. 141 Attendance: Attendance is mandatory. Any unexcused absences will result in a grade of zero for that day. Dress Code: You are expected to change all clothes for P.E. This means shorts or “track” pants, T-shirt and sweats. Athletic shoes must be worn. No boots, sandals or dress shoes are allowed. The P.E. department reserves the right to determine if any clothing/footwear is unacceptable. Grading: Grading will be based on a 0 -10 point system per class. Each student will be graded on proper attire, participation, behavior, effort, attitude, performance, quizzes and fitness testing. LOSS OF CREDIT: You will lose credit when you exceed the following number of absences:
Grading: 9 - 10: On task entire class. Gives best effort for the entire class. Follows directions completely without prompts. Listens to teacher. Participates w/others effectively and respectfully. Medical Concerns: It is our goal to ensure the safety, enjoyment and participation of all students. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the teacher of any medical condition that could limit their participation. This should be taken care of at the beginning of class. Ex: asthma, cold, returning from injury or illness etc. When a student has a medical excuse, they are excused from the activities specified by the doctor. *It is also expected that any injury that occurs during class will be reported to the teacher at that time. |
