FREE ebooks and audiobooks

RBDigital: You can borrow ebooks and audiobooks from the CT State Library – No Library Card Required! They have a huge selection of books including this year’s Nutmeg nominees and other very popular titles.
Click here and select “register” (top right). Create a user name and password, and use ctstatelib20 for the access code. Provide first name, last name, e-mail, and postal code. Check the box to accept the terms of service and privacy policy and click on the register button. That’s all there is to it.

Audible is offering a collection of kids’ audiobooks (age 0-18) for free. It’s not all of their titles, but there is a nice selection. For example, they have Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland read by Scarlet Johansson.

Abdo Digital has TONS of full-color fiction and nonfiction ebooks available. It’s easy to search the collection by keyword, grade level, genre, and subject. They have several graphic novels too! Use this link, and if you need to enter login information it is  Username: ABDO Secondary/ Password: 2020  

Sebco is offering free access to ebooks. There are a ton of books for all ages available, ranging from classic literature to a 2017 book titled #MeTooMovement. Just click on this linkhit login, enter the number 1, and hit login again.

Screencastify is offering their premium service for free through April 30 (and possibly longer). The free version only allows you to record 5-minute-long videos, but premium allows you to record unlimited videos (of your computer screen and/or yourself) AND it has a great editing tool. To sign up or to upgrade your current free subscription, go to this link and put in the coupon code CAST_COVID.

Screencastify Submit — If you decide to use Screencastify, you might also want to try this brand new feature that is being offered to educators.
