Free Classes at QVCC
Students who will be a junior or senior this coming school year, and who have an eighty average, are eligible to take a free college class at QVCC.  Student receive college credit for the course, and tuition and fees are covered by QVCC.  Books and transportation costs are not covered.  See Mr. Miller in Student Services for an application.  There are limited slots, so interested students should apply no later than June 30th.

The Wayne Henri, Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Wayne Henri, Jr. Memorial Scholarship is available to any Parish Hill High School senior who will be attending  post-secondary school and pursuing a career in culinary arts or in the technical field.  Applicants must be citizens in good standing and have demonstrated outstanding character during their high school career.  Any interest in the outdoors is also a plus.  See Mr. Miller in Student Services for an application.  Deadline:  May 25, 2012

Annual Senior Citizen Complimentary Breakfast
Serving seniors from Chaplin, Hampton and Scotland Please join us for some eggs, home fries, sausage and biscuits, as well as, a sneak preview of the Choral and Band Spring Concerts from 9:40-10:30 a.m. WHEN:   Tuesday, May 22nd, 8:45-9:30 a.m. WHERE: Parish Hill Cafeteria Call 860-455-9584 no later than May 18th to reserve your seats!  Please support some of our Senior Capstone Projects by bringing one box of pasta for the Soup Kitchen Pasta Drive or cat food, treats and/or toys for the Animal Shelter.  DONATIONS APPRECIATED BUT NOT REQUIRED TO ATTEND!

2012 CREC Summer Programs
Eastern Connecticut State University will be hosting a Summer Institute for Future Teachers for juniors and seniors this summer from July 8th – July 27th.   Additionally, Saint Joseph College is hosting a Summer Institute for Biotechnology, Health and Medical Science, Introductory Psychology and Political Pyschology from July 8th – August 2nd.  For more information on these two programs, please visit CREC’s website at www.crec.org/sift or please see Mr. Miller in Student Services.

The 102d Army Band Performance

Help Our Service Men & Women!
Here is a great chance to help the men and women serving in Afghanistan, members of our local communities!  John Bolduc (PHHS graduate, Chaplin resident, teacher and our boys basketball coach) is a member of the Connecticut National Guard Unit 142.  He has recently been deployed, and his unit is organized to send and distribute items to the soldiers.  It would be wonderful to get behind this effort and show our support to our service men and women (and John as well).  Please click here for a list of items they would appreciate.  We will have collection boxes at basketball games.  Money is useful for postage, phone cards, etc.  If you write a check, make it payable to 242nd Engineer Association.
